Casa Worthington is a 2-bedroom apartment in Ayora, Valencia city

The apartment sleeps four comfortably: the main bedroom has a super comfy king-size bed, and the smaller bedroom has a day-bed that pulls out to form a double.

You’ll find the flat is light, airy and comfortable. There are metal shutters on all windows for security and shade, and security gates outside the balcony doors.

The bathroom is dinky, with a shower but no bath. The kitchen has a gas cooker, washing machine, microwave and snazzy espresso coffee machine. There’s a small balcony – not great for sunbathing but ideal for after-work drinks or for hanging laundry.

Location

The apartment is very well situated off Avenida del Puerto, between Valencia’s historic centre and the beach. Ayora metro station is just a 3 minute walk from the front door, and 36 minutes on a direct metro (line 5) from VLC airport.

The apartment is well connected for local buses and the Valenbisi bicycle scheme. It’s 15 minutes walk to the beach and 9 minutes from the city centre by metro (or 25 minutes by bicycle).

There are plenty of shops nearby – local bakeries and corner shops, a Lidl supermarket just a few paces away and a Mercadona supermarket around the corner. And plenty of bars and restaurants.

The green and shady Jardin de Ayora is above the Ayora metro station, alongside a wide plaza. It’s a popular place for a stroll and chat, and you’ll spot the jubilados playing petanque.

The Piscina Municipal above the metro station is open to everyone. There’s a 25m pool with lots of natural light, a gym in the basement and lots of exercise classes. There’s another pool on Calle Trafalgar and a gym on Calle Islas Canarias.

Access

The apartment is on the first floor of a large block in a wide side-street. There’s free unlimited on-street parking around the building. There’s a lift, and a ramp in the entrance hall alongside the small flight of stairs.

But what about wifi??

The apartment has unlimited broadband and a Google Chromecast gizmo for streaming from your mobile or laptop to the TV. So you’re all set for working-from-home, catching up via video calls or watching your favourite streaming service.

Since Brexit, UK mobile operators are gradually reintroducing roaming charges – so check carefully before you travel.
